Raspberry Vodka Smash

I love raspberries and I love vodka, so this was a no-brainer.

Raspberries are my favorite fruit hands down. And what goes good with raspberries? Lemon, vanilla, and apparently Grey Goose Le Melon vodka (also my favorite)! I suppose you could use any old vodka, or appropriately flavored infused vodka, but don’t deny yourself the exquisite pleasure of combining the tartness of raspberries and lemon with the soft embrace of melon and vanilla… this one is worth repeating. An incredible way to watch the sun set on a hot July evening. Not much thinking here, just some purely pleasurable drinking…

  • 1 ½ oz vodka (Grey Goose Le Melon)

  • 1 oz Limoncello

  • ¼ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 5 raspberries

  • 1 twist lemon peel

  • 1 dash vanilla extract

Muddle raspberries, vanilla and lemon juice in old fashioned glass, add vodka and Limoncello with crushed ice, stir, express lemon oil from lemon twist on top and garnish with lemon twist.
